The Student Association for Fire Ecology (s.a.f.e.) will be welcoming guest speaker Dr. Paul Hessburg to WSU on Wednesday, March 29 at 5 PM.

Dr. Hessburg works for the USDA Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station and is one of the leading fire ecologists in the region. Alongside extensive research, Hessburg is also known for the “Era of Megafires” documentary and “Why Wildfires Have Gotten Worse” TED presentations. Dr. Hessburg has agreed to give a 30-minute presentation and 30-minute Q&A on the history of fire in the inland northwest.

The School of the Environment will host a viewing session in Troy 309 and all are welcome, in person or via Zoom! Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
