Ria Mukerji is a postdoctoral research associate in WSU’s School of the Environment. Her work explores how communities prepare for and respond to water-related hazards, with a focus on wildfire, flooding, and drinking water security. She uses community-engaged research, social science, and spatial analysis to develop practical tools that support local decision-making. Ria earned her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of New Mexico.
