The School of the Environment only considers applications from prospective graduate students who have secured a faculty advisor prior to applying for admission.
Explore our faculty research websites to learn about their work and how it aligns with your interests.
Begin your graduate studies journey by contacting faculty directly—they are waiting to hear from you!
Mandatory First Steps
- Review admissions requirements for the WSU School of the Environment graduate programs.
- Learn about WSU research in your area of interest.
- Start the conversation: connect with potential faculty advisors, share your interests and goals, inquire if they are accepting new students.
You don’t need to be an expert—you’re coming here to continue learning!— but you will need to have a basic concept of what you want to learn and be interested in contributing to or complementing research initiatives at WSU.
