Hello!  My name is Eric Tetzlaff.  I am a Junior here at Washington State University and I am a TA for SOE 300 for the Fall 2022 semester.  I am currently working toward a degree in Environmental and Ecosystem Sciences with an emphasis on Natural Resources.

I was born and raised in Pullman, and I love the Palouse area.  Getting out into nature and the outdoors is one of my favorite things to do.  As such, I’ve had the privilege of hiking the trails on Kamiak many times over the years.  The butte holds many great memories for me.  I have a keen interest in wildlife, plants and rocks, so I enjoy observing local wildlife and plant life as well as the ground on which it all stands.  I’ve dabbled in photography in an attempt to capture some of the amazing scenes I see while in nature.  The picture above was taken in Hells Canyon, on the bluffs above Kirkwood Ranch – a great springtime camping trip!
